Nikon D800 long awaited camera that was supposed to appear this year is February. Since he did not appear then, speculations have been going through August, but has still failed to appear. The new D800 should have a package of 36 megapixels on a full frame FX sensor, but doing so would jeopardize the progress in low light conditions. With its $ 4,000 price tag would put beyond the reach of many enthusiasc a high number of megapixels does not make it reliable for field photography and sports events.
The latest reports for the Nikon D800 are suggesting that due to the earthquake in Japan in March production has fallen behind (understandably so) and the scheduled launch date has been pushed back once again to Fall 2011. Amazon is also listing a Nikon D800 guide book on their site which means Nikon is most definitely planning to release the camera which is long overdue at this point. Nikon is also looking for a main feature camera to compete with the Canon 5D Mark III. Many felt the D700x would be the camera Nikon releases but it seems if the Nikon D800 does release this fall it could live up to the hype after all.
D700 is considered as one of the best DSLR cameras ever released. It featured low noise at quite high ISO levels and wider angle coverage. Much is being said about the Nikon D800 release. It is supposed to be a perfect full frame digital SLR camera. It is designed for a simple layman to an advanced level user and high-end photographers. It is being assumed that Nikon D800 takes over some traits and characteristics of D3X.
The D800 is for full fledged pro and enthusiast photographers, a physically built up tank type feel and look from Nikon. The price ranging around $2999 seems to be a viable option for many buyers or for semi-pro.
